SALAH THE MUTE
Salah the Mute is a novel of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The eponymous character is a Palestinian who seeks a simple life, yearning to live, however minimally, on his own terms. The spirit of the times, however, pushes him in a different direction and when the region erupts into terrible violence, he is sent on a journey which can only end in catastrophe.
